POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by ensuring that all kitchenware, tableware, and equipment are clean, sanitized, and ready for use, helping the food & beverage staff maintain a smooth and efficient operation. This role is vital in maintaining hygiene and food safety standards and supporting the food & beverage staff in a high volume environment while also assisting with basic food prep when applicable.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, returning them to their proper location, and resetting dining areas.
  • Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations
  • Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, pans, mixers, etc.
  • Unloading and storing deliveries
  • Sweeping and mopping floors, especially if items are broken or spilled
  • Regularly monitoring and taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans when needed to ensure proper food safety
  • Supporting other staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed
  • Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
  • Wash hands regularly after performing any task that deals with waste disposal, chemicals, dirty dishes, or similar. If assisting in kitchen prep, hands must be washed prior to doing so
  • All other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimal work experience
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures
  • Must be available on weekends, nights, and weekdays
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Prior experience in food industry preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to tolerate extreme temperatures
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
