POSITION SUMMARY:
The Banquet Lead provides efficient service to our guests with superior professionalism and courtesy. Assists the department manager with training development, event execution and implementing Guest 1st service standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Directly aligns with the Company Mission Statement and Core Values
- Supervise all aspects of banquet services
- Work in a proactive manner with strong attention to detail
- Work in a partnership with supporting departments such as Events & Entertainment, Operations and Concessions
- Embrace and contribute to a culture of safety and compliance
- Supervise the banquet service of food and beverage in accordance with contractual agreements
- Direct and inspect the proper set-up, break-down, and cleaning at all banquet/bar functions including all equipment and supplies
- Working in conjunction with bartenders to set up and breakdown all bars prior to and following events
- Maintain and control inventory for bar supplies (liquor, mixers, fruit, equipment, etc.) to reduce waste.
- Attend pre-event meetings with Banquet & Bartending teams with F&B Manager
- Greet and proactively anticipate guest needs and resolve complaints and requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain constant communication with the Event Coordinator, Food & Beverage Leadership, and other applicable Team Members to address all changes in the event
- Monitor quality and service standards for Banquet and Bartending Teams
- Implement systems to maximize sales and revenue in conjunction with Manager
- Effectively manage the cash handling process for Bartenders during events
- Record and report alcohol inventory monthly and/or as-needed; assist with event settlement execution based on alcohol inventory and sales
- Remain current with all relevant legislation regarding service of alcohol and licensing requirements
- Assist with the billing for each banquet function and ensure that all checks are signed, and payments are processed in accordance with the signed contract
- Additional duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of hospitality/bar management experience; high volume environment experience preferred
- 3+ years bartending, and bartending training experience is preferred
- The ability to manage in a fast-paced, diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services is essential
- Knowledge of and experience with planning and executing events is required
- Candidate must be willing to nights, weekends and holidays as necessary
- ServeSafe Alcohol certification is preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors
- Facility has intermittent noise
- Will be required to operate a computer
