INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
The Hospitality Management Internship is perfect for someone with the passion to run a business. This internship will encompass the growth and knowledge of leadership, management, customer services skills, and brand representation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provide excellent customer service to coaches, teams and families with questions regarding hospitality and concierge services
- Understand and organize offerings, create swag bags and review team information to ensure a smooth check in process
- Greet guests with professionalism during their check in process
- Diffuse and assist in resolving any guest relations issues that arise
- Utilize excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills to promote, inform, and sell offerings to coaches, teams and families
- Other projects as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Current student or recently graduated in the last year studying hospitality management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong desire to learn
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, independently
- Demonstrate success with multi-tasking and organizing multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and has initiative to complete tasks in a timely fashion
- Available 40 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and game days
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds infrequently
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
- Will be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computer
- Workplace environment has intermittent noise, generally moderate in nature, but can be loud at times especially during competitions and events
- Exposure to heat, cold and other elements
