HOOV SFM LLC ("HOOV") is accepting applications for the position of Events Team Member at Hoover Met Complex located in Hoover, AL.

HOOV SFM LLC ("HOOV") manages the Hoover Metropolitan Complex, a state-of-the-art multi-use property located in Hoover, AL just outside of Birmingham, AL. The complex encompasses the currently existing 10,500 seat Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, which is home to the SEC baseball tournament and Hoover High School football, the 155,000-sq. ft. Finley Center, which is home to 11 basketball courts or 17 volleyball courts, walking track, sports performance center, climbing wall (2018) and three (3) meeting rooms. The Finley Center hosts multi-court sports tournaments, trade shows, banquets, concerts, and community events. In late 2018, The Hoover Metropolitan Complex will open the outdoor baseball fields, which will include five (5) full-size baseball/softball fields. In early 2019, five (5) soccer/lacrosse/multi-purpose fields, 16 tennis courts, a playground and a splash pad will open on the complex.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events Team Member is the first point of contact for all guests. The Events Team Member is expected to provide excellent customer service to all visitors and always displays a vast amount of knowledge of the facility's programs and offerings.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Register guests for leagues, camps, clinics, drop-ins, etc
  • Knowledgeable about pricing, leagues and events
  • Assists with scheduling and coordinating all facility events and parties
  • Maintains inventory of paper goods, balloons, helium, party bags, giveaways and order supplies as needed
  • Adheres to party manual including party process, procedures and standard game/activity curriculum
  • Ensures guest satisfaction and a high level of guest service by providing timely and clear communication with party host about all party details
  • Resolves all guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate manager
  • Distributes collateral materials (flyers, etc.) to cross promote all facility programs
  • Maintains flyers in facility for parties, distribute to guests, program participants and cross market, as appropriate
  • Supports social marketing strategy to ensure optimal event promotion parties are promoted on local sites
  • Any additional tasks assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must work well with others
  • Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds' waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
