The Hoover Metropolitan Complex/ Finley Center ("HOOV SFM LLC" or "HOOV") is an SFM managed facility in Hoover, Alabama. The world-class facility includes an 155,000 square foot indoor facility that will have the capacity to host multi-court sports tournaments, trade shows, banquets, concerts and community events. The facility also features ten (10) state-of-the-art outdoor fields for baseball, softball, soccer, football, and lacrosse.  Additionally, SFM manages the 10,000 seat Metropolitan Stadium home of the SEC Baseball Tournament and Hoover High School Football.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events Team Member is the first point of contact for all guests. The Events Team Member is expected to provide excellent customer service to all visitors and always displays a vast amount of knowledge of the facility's programs and offerings.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Register guests for leagues, camps, clinics, drop-ins, etc
  • Knowledgeable about pricing, leagues and events
  • Assists with scheduling and coordinating all facility events and parties
  • Maintains inventory of paper goods, balloons, helium, party bags, giveaways and order supplies as needed
  • Adheres to party manual including party process, procedures and standard game/activity curriculum
  • Ensures guest satisfaction and a high level of guest service by providing timely and clear communication with party host about all party details
  • Resolves all guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate manager
  • Distributes collateral materials (flyers, etc.) to cross promote all facility programs
  • Maintains flyers in facility for parties, distribute to guests, program participants and cross market, as appropriate
  • Supports social marketing strategy to ensure optimal event promotion parties are promoted on local sites
  • Any additional tasks assigned by management

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must work well with others
  • Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds' waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
