ABOUT THE COMPANY

FCCC SFM, LLC ("FCCC") is accepting applications for the position of Operations Manager at Fox Cities Champion Center located in Grand Chute, WI.

Fox Cities Champion Center is FCCC SFM, LLC's facility is planned to open in the Fall of 2019. The facility will feature multi-sports such as ice skating, basketball, and volleyball for tournament and league play. The 164,000 square foot facility plans to feature first-class amenities such as locker rooms, pro shop, concessions and meeting rooms.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of events at Fox Cities Champion Center. This position provides direction, training and development opportunities to front-line managers and part-time staff during events. The Operations Manager will work closely with outside event owners, other leaders, and the Finance Manager in order to successfully accomplish these responsibilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING

  • Works within the operations team that manages all venue communications and associated services (cleaning, catering, event production, staff, health & safety, etc.)
  • Directs coordination of activities to prepare for the day of the event
  • Oversees front-line managers/supervisors to ensure compliance with SFM Policies and additional applicable laws
  • Coordinates and integrates all other operations within an event and any assigned sites and facilities
  • Participates in planning/strategic meetings
  • Oversees effective communications with event owners pre and post event
  • Oversees the administration and high level of detail required in the organization of events
  • Assists HR Director with labor law compliance and adherence to SFM corporate policies and procedures
  • Assists on-site at events and takes responsibility for the various aspects of managing personnel and production
  • Negotiate and produce contracts for relevant vendors building a good working relationship
  • Build a good overall knowledge and understanding of the events in the company portfolio, their operational aims and their revenue streams
  • Close liaison and communication with other departments within the events team including marketing and sales
  • To maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism in all areas of work
  • To ensure that all Health & Safety measurements are in place
  • Assist with daily operations to ensure quality control, expense management, security and, facility maintenance
  • Responsible for proper cash handling procedures
  • Assist sports and tournament manager with proper communication with the venues from contracts and dates to all onsite logistics
  • Responsible for managing events, ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to
  • All other duties assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in management, sports management, business or related field with 5-7 years' experience in a leadership role in operational management and/or event management
  • Food and Beverage experience preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must be willing to obtain a  CPR certification
  • Well organized, efficient, flexible, and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to cope with many tasks at once and work to tight schedules

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds' waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors,
  • and squat, stoop or bend
  • Limited travel may be required
  • Weekends, nights and holidays required
